ROSTO was a Dutch artist, director, illustrator and musician who marked the world of cinema and animation with the visual and musical richness of his films.
From Beheaded (1999) to Reruns (2018), via his online graphic novel Mind My Gap (1998-2014), each of his works is an initiatory journey between the real and the imaginary, with a rock atmosphere.
This book is the adaptation of his online graphic novel, which ROSTO had time to finalize before leaving us in March 2019.
This 210-page book is accompanied by the double album Songs From My Gap by his group Thee Wreckers: two CDs containing 30 unreleased tracks that have inspired all of his visual work.

MIND MY GAP
Everything seems to be going well for the happy duo of presenters Diddybob and Buddybob. They live in the background of their TV show: Living Interior, and have no idea what's going on outside the studio. Their only reason for being is to present their interior decor to an audience they don't know in their TV show. And so things go, until the unexpected departure of Diddybob, who finds himself for the first time outside the studio, to explore the unknown ...

ROSTO
ROSTO was a Dutch artist, director, illustrator and musician.
From Beheaded to Reruns, through his graphic novel Mind My Gap, each of his work is an initiatory journey between reality an imagination, in a rock atmosphere.
ROSTO was attached to turning hid dreamed worlds into images, with graphical and cinematic techniques in a constant renewal.
Music, especially with his band Thee Wreckers, was always the driving force of his work. He composed the music in all his films and The residents, Terry GILLIAM, The Do and Tom WAITS have lent their voices for the soundtrack oh his medium lenght film The Monster of Nix.
In 2018 he concluded his musical tetralogy named Thee Wreckers Tetralogy in wich the members of his band are incarnated in the form of animated spirits, of which you will find two extracts in this flip-book>.
