10 strips for PRAXINOSCOPE (Emile REYNAUD - France)
This series of reproductions of 10 strips for Emile REYNAUD's Praxinoscope was published in 1995 on the occasion of the Centenary of Cinema by editions VERTIGE Paris (France) in the collection "The Precursors of Cinema."
10 strips 50 x 4 cm Colors + 1 blank strip (template) |
These strips were part of a package including a Praxinoscope.
This kit is long out of print, but we found a small stock of strips.
It should be noted that these strips are smaller than the original that measured 65.8 cm long (50 cm here) and 5.45 cm high (4 cm here): they are not compatible with the real Praxinoscope (if you are lucky enough to own one).
To date, none of praxinoscopes we sell on our site is compatible with these strips. (Of course, we'll be sure to let you know otherwise).
These 10 bands fit perfectly with our ZOETROPE ART-DÉCO > but admit that it would be a heresy, bands of Praxinoscope in a zoetrope, no?
Very beautiful printing, these 10 bands are supplied with an eleventh band with 12 empty frames, using a template to create your own bands.
