Inspired by his PRAXINOSCOPE>, the Toupie Fantoches was invented and marketed by the French Emile REYNAUD in 1881. As a toy for children but fragile, few copies have survived their hands furiously curious (but so cute !), which explains its rarity today.
The TOUPIE FANTOCHES is a simple toy, consisting of four triangular mirrors, mounted in a pyramid. A disc of 4 drawings are reflecting in each mirror, turning the pyramid of mirrors about an axis, an animation appears!
