Directed by William HEISE, this film is also known as "The Kiss", "The Rice-Irwin Kiss" and "The Widow Jones". This 47 seconds film is one of the first movies ever shown commercially to the public. It was an advertise for the musical "The Widow Jones", with May IRWIN and John RICE.

Employee of the EDISON laboratories, Annabelle WHITFORD MOORE turned several shorts for the KINETOSCOPE, including this "dance serpentine", much inspired by Loïe FULLER. The director is William Kennedy Laurie DICKSON.
