Inspired by an old Tibetan fable full of wisdom and humour, Rumours pokes fun at the gregarious spirit of all groups, whether animal or human.
« It is a simple, universal story that is easy to understand and conveys in a very funny manner the philosophical wisdom I wanted to portray », explains the director Frits STANDAERT.
In all his films, Frits STANDAERT who also directs adverts, and is a producer and educational advisor at the RITS performing arts school in Brussels, enjoys exploiting the grotesque nature of a situation to its maximum.
Rumours is a fable that advocates the importance of critical and thinking, and thus joins the rank of L’écrivain, Kiss the Moon, Wundermilch, Jailbird, his previous productions.
