Watchmaker, he was also the creator of fabulous machines and revolutionized magic with his THÉÂTRE DES SOIRÉES FANTASTIQUES, magic show most famous and most imitated in the century. His theater  will be reprized in 1888 by the greatest illusionist of the next century: Georges Méliès!
