Arnolds BUROVS
Born in 1915 in Riga (Latvia), Arnolds BUROVS was the decorator, then the director until 1954, of the Puppets’ Theater in Riga. From 1964 he becomes artist, realizer and scenario writer in Riga Film Studio. In 1966, he founded the Studio Animacijas Brigade, and becomes one of the most famous artists of the Baltics.
His style and his traditional practice of animation are perpetuated today in the Studio Animacijas Brigade by a team which was formed with animation around him, Les Aventures de Munk et Lemmy, by exemple.
