NIMBUS MACHINA is the first independant film by Thomas PLAETE, who obtained a DMA (diplôme des métiers d’art) in animation at the ESAAT (Roubaix) in 2007.

A strange machine, somewhere between a steam engine and a Heath-Robinson invention, travels along a rail in the middle of nowhere, spitting out huge clouds of smoke. The machine belches out so much soot that it ends up causing a storm. The funny locomotive panics a bit then stops.

The engine driver has to use all his wit to get it started again and carry on their way...
