Alexander CALDER was born in 1898 in Philadelphia (USA).
His father is a sculptor, his mother, painter.
When he arrives to France in 1926, he very quickly becomes the whooping-cough of artistic Paris which is pressed with the representations of its miniature circus. He presents the traditional characters of the circus with a lot of humour and dexterity , manufactured ingeniously...
