Burlesque and disrespectful, his text, carefully calligraphied and full with drolery, offers a whole of anachronisms and features of humour, inspired of the opera, theatre, music’ hall and cabarets.
As for the illustrations, they are largely influenced by the satirical press and the illustrators of the time, like Albert HUMBERT, Jules DEPAQUIT or CHRISTOPHE.
