Les inconditionnels du magicien de Montreuil ne seront sans doute pas déçus par ce coffret gargantuesque, rassemblant rien moins que l'intégrale de son œuvre ! Au programme, facéties abracadabrantes, chorégraphies burlesques, voyages impossibles, à travers lesquels Méliès ouvre les portes du rêve cinématographique. Roi des trucs et de la féerie, notre homme virevolte volontiers parmi les astres, taquine les nymphes fessues de la Belle Époque, bondi, saute danse, explose, grimé tel Méphistophélès ! Tout au fil de ces films oniriques, le premier magicien du cinéma invite à parcourir un univers d'illusions fantasmagoriques qui n'a rien perdu de sa force évocatrice... car aujourd'hui encore, vos joies sont mes liesses !
