A collection of 21 animation films inspired by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, initiated by the National Film Board of Canada (NFB)

In 1990, an historic international event took place with the coming into effect of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The National Film Board of Canada (NFB) wanted to emphasize the importance of the Convention and to make it better known to those most affected by it - namely, children and teenagers.
The NFB’s French Program Animation Studio, with a number of financial partners, therefore developed Rights from the Heart, a three-part collection of animation films, with one part designed for children aged 5 to 8, one for preteens aged 9 to 12, and one for teenagers aged 13 to 17.
